Alpha-Amylase for Liquefaction

AlphaRich Plus is a heat-stable alpha-amylase produced by submerged fermentation of a genetically modified micro-organism. AlphaRich Plus is an alpha-amylase that randomly hydrolysis the alpha-1, 4-glucosidic bonds in amylose and amylopectin. It is a liquid enzyme preparation for the enzymatic liquefaction of starch to dextrin.

AlphaRich Plus is an amber colored liquid with a specific gravity of 1.18-1.22 and is completely miscible with water. AlphaRich Plus complies with recommended specifications for Food Grade enzymes.


AlphaRich Plus is used in Beverage Alcohol industry. It is an endo-amylase that helps in reducing viscosity and aids in the dextrinization of starch polysaccharides.

Recommended Conditions

  • pH: 5.5-6.0
  • Temperature: 86-90 ℃
  • Dosage: 0.40 - 0.45 kg/ton of starch


AlphaRich Plus is available in standard 30 kg HDPE drums.


AlphaRich Plus should be stored in a cool, dry place. It retains its declared activity for at least a period of 12 months when stored at 4 ℃ and for at least 6 months at 25 ℃.
